Trailwalker Intermon Oxfam

Josefina Piñón, head of the International cooperation Department at Mazars, has participated for the second consecutive year in the Trailwalker of Madrid. Solidarity career with which Mazars collaborates.

Oxfam's Trailwalker is not just a 100-kilometer challenge, its goal is to fight poverty and hunger. That is why the teams that compose the Trailwalker are committed to obtaining donations, which Oxfam Intermon destines to more than 400 projects of cooperation, humanitarian action, fair trade and sensitization, in more than 90 countries.

The spirit of this test is focused on teamwork, as participants must form groups of four people, with two additional ones that will form the support team. The latter are key as they provide food, clean clothes and, most importantly, encouragement to move forward in a race that can last up to 32 hours.

Josefina tells us that this time, touring the 100 km, has been an extremely hard test, given the bad weather, which forced the organization to suspend for several hours the race, storms, lightning and even the overflow of the river.
